Competition: Women’s World Cup
Market: Ellen White to score anytime
Odds: 13/8 @ Bet 365
Two sides looking to book a semi-final showdown at this summers World Cup finals, England will face Norway in Le Harve on Thursday night.
Starting with Phil Neville’s England side, after picking up a 3-0 win over Cameroon in an ugly encounter over the weekend, the mood in the Lionesses camp should be on a high. Winning each of their four matches out in France and also conceding just one goal on that winning run, it will be the ongoing performances of leading goalscorer Ellen White really impressing the former Manchester United man. Once again finding the net against Cameroon, the Manchester City striker has already bagged four goals so far and sits second in the overall goalscoring charts.
As for Norway, after coming past Australia in penalties last weekend, their recent defensive issues will be a growing concern for Head Coach Martin Sjögren. Suffering a 2-1 loss against hosts France earlier in the month, the Grasshoppers haven’t recorded a clean sheet in any of their last three outings and have recorded just a single clean sheet since the start of March. Traveling to Le Harve as an underdog in midweek, we’re backing a leaky Norway defense to struggle against England’s free-scoring Lionesses.
