The Mirror understands that Leicester City are eyeing a move for out-of-favour Arsenal midfielder Mohamed Elneny.
The twenty-six-year old has not featured in the Premier League at all this season and has only made the bench for half of their fixtures.
He has played in both the EFL Cup and the Europa League but looks far from working his way into Unai Emery’s first choice eleven, with the Egypt international way down the pecking order.
Leicester have been linked with the former FC Basel man and could sign him when the transfer window reopens should the match the Gunners’ valuation – thought to be around £15m.
Since arriving at the North London club, Elneny has racked up seventy-five appearances in all competitions, scoring twice.
Internationally, he has been capped sixty-seven times for his country and was part of the squad that went to this summer’s World Cup finals in Russia.
