Emery plays down January transfer window

“It’s not easy to change or improve our team with the possibilities in the transfer market, but the club is working. We are looking at different possibilities.

“Maybe we can improve in the transfer market if we get the opportunity. Maybe we can sign one or two players, but it’s not easy.”

Those are the words of Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who seems to be playing down the idea of making too many waves in the January transfer window. While this could easily all be a part of a plan to throw people off, especially given how well he did in the summer transfer window, you just never know for sure.

Emery has a lot of eyes on him at this moment in time in the wake of Arsenal’s form in recent weeks, with some believing that the wheels are starting to fall off at the Emirates. While that may sound ridiculous, that’s the nature of competing at the highest level with so much scrutiny surrounding you.
