Valencia boss Unai Emery said his side will not be underestimating Osasuna despite the visitors’ horrible record on the road.
Osasuna have taken just one point from their eight away matches in the league this season, while Valencia have lost just once at their Mestalla fortress, making for a one-sided clash on Monday.
But despite those facts, Emery believes the match could be a danger game for his side as they look to cut the gap to fourth placed Espanyol.
“The key to playing a team with only one point away from home in recent games, is to believe that all the previous games have been won,” Emery said.
“The moment at which we think that the game will be easy is when things become much more difficult.”
“Our mindset for the game is key. We have to expect a great team with good players, who have only taken a point from away games but who deserve more.”
“They had a good game against Real Madrid and they lost in Bilbao from a last minute corner.”
“They maybe deserved to win that one. An Osasuna who could have got better results is what we are expecting.”
