Competition: World Cup Qualifiers
Market: England to Win to Nil against Malta
Odds: 1/4 @ Bet 365

England welcome Malta to Wembley for tonight’s World Cup Qualifier, and are big favourites to win to make it six points from their first two games.

And with the Three Lions boasting a fantastic defensive record in 2016, minnows Malta could well be shut out and comprehensively beaten after 90 minutes.

Hosts England are currently second in Group F with three points from their opening game. Gareth Southgate’s men won their first outing away to Slovakia and are expecting to retain their 100% record in the group this weekend.

England have beaten the likes of Germany, Turkey, Portugal, Wales and many others in 2016 so they are no slouches despite their premature Euro 2016 exit. Malta are coming off the back of a 5-1 defeat by Scotland, and have suffered three defeats from their last four ahead of this weekend’s meeting at Wembley.

With Malta averaging 0.6 goals per game in their last five, an England side having conceded one or less goals in eight of their previous could well win and keep a clean sheet tonight. Bet 365 are giving odds of 1/4 for England to Win to Nil.
