Competition: International friendly
Market: England to win against Norway
Odds: 5/12 @ 888 Sport

England manager Roy Hodgson has named his side for the forthcoming friendly against Norway:

Joe Hart, Stones, Phil Jones, Gary Cahill, Leighton Baines, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jack Wilshere, Jordan Henderson, Raheem Sterling, Daniel Sturridge, Wayne Rooney.

The national team boss has limited options due to recent retirements from Ashley Cole, Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard. As a result, the midfield is considerably threadbare compared to past squads.

While somewhat of an experimental starting XI tonight at Wembley, England do have a squad more than capable of getting the win, and 888 Sport are giving odds of 5/12 for the Three Lions to do exactly that.

This summer’s World Cup was a particular disappointment for England, but Hodgson is hoping the next generation can get some results. Norway aren’t the strongest side, and with England having home advantage, they should have a somewhat morale-boosting victory.

Norway haven’t won a non-competitive game since beating Moldova in January, but England have a much better record by comparison – winning two and drawing two of their last four friendlies in 2014.
