England are just one win away from reaching next year’s World Cup in South Africa. In fact, even a draw against Croatia this Wednesday would be enough for Capello’s men to secure qualification.

The English will want to take revenge for two years ago, when defeat by Croatia ended their Euro 2008 hopes and made them miss their first final tournament since 1994.

Croatia are four points behind England and played a game more. This means that they will certainly need a win if they want to maintain pressure on England and their top spot in Group 6.

Ukraine meanwhile, will hope for Croatia to lose so they can jump to position two with a win in Belarus. Having a game in hand, the Ukrainians may be the top candidates to finish second in this group, and a good result in Minsk will catapult them into a great position with two games to go.

Of little importance is the match between Andorra and Kazakhstan, where the home side will try and earn their first point in this campaign.
