England and Hungary agree to August friendly

(GSM) – The Football Associations of England and Hungary have agreed to an international friendly to be played at Wembley next August 11.

The match will be used as a warm-up game for the 2012 qualifying campaign, although England start their qualifiers against Bulgaria three weeks earlier.

England and Hungary also met in 2006, with the hosts winning that encounter 3-0. Goals were scored by Steven Gerrard, John Terry and Peter Crouch.

Fabio Capello’s men share a group with Switzerland, Bulgaria, Wales and Montenegro, while Hungary meet with the Netherlands, Sweden, Finland, Moldova and San Marino.
