Competition: International Friendly
Market: England and Spain to draw
Odds: 1/1 @ Bet 365

England welcome Spain to Wembley Stadium in tonight’s international friendly, in a game that could turn out to be a drab affair.

Both sides are expected to rest players and the outcome is largely irrelevant given the lack of competitive edge.

As a result, this evening’s outing at Wembley could be a stalemate.

England interim manager Gareth Southgate is expecting to be formally given the job on a fulltime basis so he will want to sign off his caretaker spell with an unbeaten record. He will rest names this evening but will still have a side full of substance to try and contain Spain’s creative players.

England boast three wins and a draw after their Euro 2016 debacle and seldom lose at home. The Three Lions will be a tough opposition for Spain, but underestimating the visitors wouldn’t be a wise move either for Southgate’s men. Spain boast four wins from five ahead of tonight’s friendly, but haven’t had a higher calibre of opponent for a few internationals which could be a rude awakening for them.

As a result, Bet 365 are giving odds of 1/1 for England and Spain to play out a stalemate at Wembley tonight.
