Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden and Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood were excluded from the England squad following a breach of Covid-19 protocols in Iceland.
Both players have offered their public apologies, but coach Gareth Southgate can’t understand how they would’ve thought their actions were acceptable and says they would have been excluded for them even without the Covid-19 situation.
