England have seven first teamers missing so why is Capello so cross about Gerrard?

The newspapers have little else to talk about this morning other than Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard. The club withdrew Gerrard from the England squad with a torn leg muscle but he has been ordered to report for duty by Fabio Capello.

The Mail says that Capello is ‘furious’ with Gerrard’s withdrawal.

With Wes Brown, Wayne Rooney, Rio Ferdinand, Joe Cole, Ashley Cole and John Terry also not available through injury and joining the Liverpool man on the ‘unavailable list’, I wonder what it is about Gerrard’s withdrawal that has made Capello so cross?
