England has confirmed it will play Denmark in an international friendly at Copenhagen’s Parken Stadium next February.
Fabio Capello’s side will use the match as a warm-up fixture to their Euro 2012 qualifier against Wales in March, after their proposed friendly against Argentina in Copenhagen was turned down by the Denmark Football Federation.
It will be the two nations’ first meeting since Denmark beat a Sven-Goran Eriksson-led England side 4-1 at the same venue five years ago.
The match is likely to feature new Manchester United signing and Denmark goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard, who could face United team-mates and England stalwarts Rio Ferdinand and Wayne Rooney.
