Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is expected to lead the line for England in tonight’s international friendly with Portugal, and will be hoping to continue his impressive run of form by getting on the scoresheet ahead of this summer’s Euro 2016.

The 22-year-old has enjoyed an outstanding Premier League season with the Lilywhites, winning the Golden Boot for his 25 goals in 38 games. He’s been in fine form for England too, having scored five goals in 11 internationals, while netting two in his last three ahead of this evening’s friendly.

Portugal are full of experience in the side, but do have their problems in the defence. Their backline is the weakest component of the team and therefore the most exploitable. Given how ruthless Kane has been in front of goal of late, he could be deadly against Portugal.

England manager Roy Hodgson is expected to name his strongest possible lineup for tonight’s fixture, and will want his players to impress to show they’re ready for the European Championships this month.
