While the second-most expensive January transfer window in Premier League history might have only just closed, teams from up and down the country will already be getting together their plans for the summer.

With both Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland linked with potential blockbuster moves ahead of the 2022/23 campaign, some of England’s brightest young starlets are also attracting a host of interest.

With the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea expected to really break the bank this summer, we have taken a look at a handful of stars that could be making a big-money switch over the coming months.

Declan Rice – West Ham

Dragging West Ham into the fifth-round of this year’s FA Cup away at non-league Kidderminster over the weekend, there is no doubt that Declan Rice finds his stock at an all-time high.

A star of England’s charge to the final of last summer’s European Championships, the 23-year-old has continued to gain a host of plaudits and has even been tipped as a future Three Lions captain.

Already racking up over 150 Premier League appearances for the Hammers and often in possession of their captain’s armband, it is no surprise that Rice remains heavily linked with a host of top-flight heavyweights.

Quickly becoming one of Europe’s most sort after talents and appearing to lead the chase for this season’s PFA Young Player of the Year award, The Daily Mail reported on Sunday that both Chelsea and Manchester United are keen on striking a big-money deal with West Ham.

Jude Bellingham – Borussia Dortmund

While Rice might have continued to gain a host of plaudits from across the Premier League once again this season, he is not the only English midfielder who has quickly skyrocketed his way to superstardom.

Making the move to Borussia Dortmund from Championship outfit Birmingham back in July 2020, Jude Bellingham has become a vital part of the German giants set up and has particularly impressed on Champions League duties.

Becoming an England regular under Gareth Southgate and already making 10 senior appearances, the 18-year-old is already linked with a lucrative return to his homeland this summer in what could turn out to be a blockbuster move.

With Dortmund making it no secret that they would be willing to move on Bellingham if they can reach a suitable deal, The Mirror reported over the weekend that Liverpool are weighing up a move when the window reopens.

Dominic Calver-Lewin – Everton

Appointing Frank Lampard to come in and replace Rafa Benitez last week, the former Chelsea boss has made it clear how important Dominic Calvert-Lewin will be in Everton’s bid to avoid the drop this season.

Enduring a nightmare campaign at Goodison Park and firmly looking over their shoulder, the 24-year-old’s injury issues over recent months have played a vital role in the Toffees’ struggles.

However, while Calvert-Lewin might have only managed to make six Premier League appearances throughout the 2021/22 campaign, the one-time Sheffield United starlet appears to be a man in demand this summer.

Racking up 16 top-flight goals in what was a career-best campaign on Merseyside last season, ESPN reported last week that Arsenal are keen on striking a potential £50million deal that could see Calvert-Lewin replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang who made the move to Barcelona on Deadline Day.

Kalvin Phillips – Leeds

Dealing with his own injury issues this season and not making a single Premier League appearance since December 5th, Kalvin Phillips still finds himself in a very similar position to Calvert-Lewin at Everton.

Forming a stellar partnership with Declan Rice at the heart of England’s midfield during last summer’s European Championships, the 26-year-old has only continued to impress since helping Leeds end their top-flight exile in 2020.

A firm fan favourite around Elland Road and regarded to be one of the best holding midfielders across the Premier League, Phillips was subject to an eye-watering £50million bid from West Ham 48 hours before the January transfer window slammed shut.

While it might have been reported over the weekend that Phillips is desperate to sign a new long-term deal with Leeds, The Sun have also suggested that both heavyweights Chelsea and Manchester United are weighing up a big-money offer this summer.
