England national team chiefs are set to offer Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp a chance to take over from Fabio Capello, The People reports.
English FA are far from happy with current boss Fabio Capello and they are looking to bring new man in charge before the Italian’s contract expires after the Euro 2012 finals.
The only reason why Capello kept his job after the disappointing 2010 World Cup campaign was because it would have cost £11 million to sack him.
That figure would now be down to £3 million as the Italian enters the final six months of his contract.
The national teams chiefs do not think Capello has what it takes to lead England to success at the Euro 2012 and they are reportedly ready to offer Harry Redknapp an opportunity to take over the reigns.
The Spurs boss has hinted on numerous occasions that he would enjoy managing England and he is now a number one candidate to be appointed next England boss.
