French media outlet L’Equipe has learned that Manchester City have emerged as favourites to sign Marseille youngster Boubacar Kamara.
The 17-year-old is widely regarded as one of France’s hottest prospects at the moment, and he is on the verge of being handed his Ligue 1 debut.
Kamara made his first senior appearance for the club in the Coupe de la Ligue clash with Sochaux and he also watched two league games from the bench.
Bayern Munich and few other top sides have been casting admiring glances his way, while Manchester City reportedly plan to make a summer bid for the talented footballer.
Boubacar Kamara usually operates as a centre-back, but he can also be used as a holding midfielder and is predicted a bright future in the game.
The youngster has so far represented France at Under-17 and Under-18 level, and he also has 19 appearances for Marseille II.
