Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca is keen on a deal for Jhon Duran in the January transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Maresca, who was appointed the Chelsea boss last summer, has told the London club’s board to get him Duran now.
Nicolas Jackson is the main striker at Chelsea, but he is not very prolific. The 23-year-old has scored just nine goals and given five assists in 22 Premier League matches so far this season. During the 2023-24 campaign, the youngster found the back of the net 14 times and provided five assists in 35 Premier League games.
Duran is a squad player at Villa and was behind Ollie Watkins in the pecking order. With the Villans having signed Donyell Malen in the January transfer window, the Colombia international striker will find it hard to get much playing time. Villa are reportedly open to selling Duran for €80 million in the final days of the January transfer window.
