Portuguese media outlet Record has suggested that Argentine midfielder Enzo Perez is likely to leave Benfica in the January transfer window.
The Argentina international is widely tipped to join La Liga high-flyers Valencia, who have already recruited Andre Gomes and Rodrigo Moreno from Estadio da Luz.
And while certain Benfica players have clauses preventing them to leave midway through the season even if their buy-out clause is matched, Record has learned there is no such option in Enzo Perez’s deal.
This basically means that the Eagles will have no say in the deal if a club offer €30 million for the midfielder’s services.
Having offered around €25 million for Perez in the summer, Valencia are likely to increase their proposal and ensure their target arrives at Mestalla this winter.
Following the outstanding start to the new league campaign, los Che can be backed at 2/3 to achieve a top 4 finish in La Liga.
