Valencia are believed to be closing in on Benfica midfielder Enzo Perez, Superdeporte has learned.
Los Che have just completed the signing of forward Rodrigo Moreno and having earlier recruited Andre Gomes, Enzo Perez could become the third player to join the club from Estadio da Luz.
The man behind the deals is new Valencia owner Peter Lim and he reportedly has an agreement to sign the Argentine for a fee of €25 million.
While other European giants are also in the race, los Che are definitely in the pole position at the moment, especially since the player himself prefers a switch to Mestalla.
Enzo Perez, 28, has managed to prove his credentials with some strong performances for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup, starting both the semi-final and final for los Albicelestes.
And after spending last three years with Benfica, the highly rated midfielder appears set to leave for greener pastures.
