Ligue 1side Sochaux’s forward Mevlut Erding has expressed his confidence for a move to Paris St. Germain.
The 22 year-old declared this, following a series of protracted negotiations between the two Ligue 1 clubs for the past three weeks.
But the Turkey international, currently on holiday in his homeland, is not worried the amount of time it is taking to strike a deal.
“No, I’m not worried,” he said in Le Parisien.
“I spoke with the president of Sochaux, he gave me his word. I know it will happen. You just need time. I do not know where things are exactly, but in my mind I’m in Paris. I know that is what is best for me.
“I do not even think about (the clubs not reaching agreement). I am confident and I want to be at Camp des Loges on July 3 for the resumption of PSG training.
The 22-year-old has also been linked with Lyon, Marseille and Rennes, but he insists there is only one club for him.
“PSG is the club that has shown the most interest in me,” he said.
“(New PSG coach) Antoine Kombouare called me three times, and I listened, I gave my point of view. I enjoyed his speech. He is the only coach who called me.
“And then the project interests me. My goal is to help the club qualify for Europe.”
PSG missed out on fifth place and a Europa League berth to Lille on the last day of last season when they could only manage a goalless draw at home to Monaco.
