(GSM) – A late goal by Omer Erdogan gave Bursaspor a five-point lead atop the Turkish Super Lig on Saturday as they came from a goal down to beat Antalyaspor, 2-1.

The visitors stunned the crowd at the Bursa Atatürk after just seven minutes when Turkish international striker Necati Ates bagged his seventh goal of the season.

In the 14th minute, however, the visitors conceded a penalty, giving Bursaspor goalkeeper Dimitar Ivankov the chance to equalize from the spot for his third goal of the year.

It was a tense affair after that as Bursaspor knew well the potential consequences of dropping a second straight game.

The home crowd’s fears, though, were relieved on 78 minutes when defender Erdogan got into the area to bundle home a shot beyond Omer Catkic.

The result leaves Bursaspor five ahead of Besiktas in the standings. Fenerbahçe (six points back) and Galatasaray (eight points back) are both in action on Sunday.
