Eredivisie leaders Ajax dropped points in a 1-1 draw at home to Heerenveen on Friday, opening the door for the chasing pack.
Hosts Ajax led through Viktor Fischer’s goal 26 minutes into the match at the Amsterdam Arena, only for Alfredh Finnbogason to level eight minutes into the second half.
Ajax proved unable to force a winner late on, leaving them six points clear of second-placed Vitesse, who visit Feyenoord, fourth on the table, Sunday.
PSV, third in the standings and level on 60 points with Feyenoord, will also hope to take advantage of Ajax’s draw when they go away to AZ Alkmaar on Saturday.
However, with just three rounds of the season remaining after this weekend’s fixtures, Ajax remain favourites to retain their league title.
