RKC Waalwijk struck a blow to De Graafschap’s hopes of avoiding relegation from the Eredivisie, posting a 3-1 win away from home on Friday.
De Graafschap took the lead on the 16-minute mark when forward Michael de Leeuw scored his second league goal of the season, but the visitors drew level thanks to a Frank van Mosselveld strike seven minutes before half-time.
RKC Waalwijk took the lead on 65 minutes courtesy of an Ard van Peppen goal, and when Jochem Jansen put the ball into his own net with three minutes remaining the 2010/11 Ereste Divisie champions had sealed the three points.
The win saw Waalwijk climb to 13th spot in the Eredivisie table on 18 points, while De Graafschap are in the relegation zone in 16th place on 12 points, two behind NEC Nijmegen.
