Substitute Hugo Bargas scored an 87th-minute winner as De Graafschap narrowly defeated Eredivisie strugglers Willem II 2-1 on Friday.
Bargas, brought on in the 55th minute for Rik Sebens, was on hand to deny the bottom-placed Dutch side just their third win of the season.
Willem took the lead through Juha Hakola in the 78th minute, but Rydell Poepon levelled for the hosts two minutes later and Bargas stole the points in the shadows of injury time.
The result leaves Willem anchored at the bottom of the table with 11 points, five points adrift of VVV Venlo who have a game in hand.
De Graafschap improve to 12th with 30 points, though their joy could be short-lived with Heracles and Feyenoord both able to go ahead of them if they can win at the weekend.
