NAC Breda won their third match in succession after defeating Excelsior 3-1 in the Eredivisie on Wednesday.
The match resumed at the six minute mark on Wednesday after it had been called off on Monday because of heavy fog at the Stadion Woudestein.
Upon resumption the visitors were immediately in control and it was Ghanaian striker Matthew Amoah who put Breda ahead in the 39th minute.
Robbert Schilder extended the advantage in the 75th minute, but Tim Vincken pulled one back for Excelsior five minutes later to restore hope of salvaging a point.
But Ali Boussaboun sealed the win for Breda with a goal in injury time to move his side up to seventh on the table. Excelsior remain locked in the relegation zone in 16th, two points adrift of safety.
