Heerenveen striker Alfred Finnbogason admits that he would love to play for Manchester United at one point in the future.
Finnbogason, 24, has been scoring goals for fun in Dutch Eredivisie and he has seen his name linked with a host of Europe’s top clubs.
The Icelandic striker is heavily tipped to leave his current club for greener pastures at the end of the season, and he reveals there is one club that has long been his favourite.
“My biggest dream is of course to play for Manchester United,” Finnbogason said to Dutch TV station Omrop Fryslan.
“That’s my club since I was five or six years old. I’m still a big fan of United.”
If the talented forward continues playing at this level, he might just get a chance to play in the English Premier League and maybe even wear the Manchester United jersey.
Alfred Finnbogason has been making giant strides ever since he left Iceland in January 2011, playing for Lokeren, Helsingborg and Heerenveen.
He has been especially impressive this season, scoring no less than 20 goals in 21 competitive appearances for the Frisians.
