Eredivisie: Heracles 1 Utrecht 1

Heracles were held by Utrecht in the Eredivisie on Friday after defender Christian Dorda scored an own goal.

Dutchman Lerin Duarte latched on to Everton’s delivery to fire home 19 minutes in for Heracles but Utrecht were soon back on level terms at the Polman Stadion.

German defender Dorda was the unfortunate player to put through his own net eight minutes later to make it 1-1.

Utrecht remain fifth on 25 points, five adrift of Ajax in the final Europa League spot, while Heracles are 10th on 18 points.

Australian duo Adam Sarota and Tommy Oar both started for Utrecht and were substituted late in the second half.

Fellow Australian Jason Davidson was an unused substitute for Heracles.
