Heerenveen midfielder Daley Sinkgraven has welcomed interest from Manchester United, but made it clear he will not be joining the Red Devils any time soon.
The 19-year-old has impressed since nailing down a regular starting berth at Abe Lenstra, catching the eye of the Premier League giants in the process.
And while Manchester United are being linked with a January move, the attacking midfielder doesn’t think he is ready to join a top European club and would prefer to play for one of the Dutch giants first.
“I would first prefer to play at the top of the Netherlands,” the youngster told Dutch TV programme Bynt. “I think it’s too soon to go to a foreign country. Ajax would be a nice step.”
Daley Sinkgraven has spent his entire career up to date at Heerenveen, and he went on to make 17 league appearances in his debut season.
The highly rated footballer has since developed into an important player for the Frisians, and has managed 2 goals and as many assists in 10 Eredivisie outings this term.
Heerenveen face a tricky away tie against Twente later today and they can be backed at 9/2 to emerge victorious.
