PSV Eindhoven have won the Dutch championship for the fourth time in a row. A 1-0 victory at Vitesse was enough to stay ahead of Ajax.

A draw would have been enough for PSV to secure the championship. Vitesse tested their opponents in the first half and enjoyed more possession of the ball.

But Serbian striker Danko Lazovic, who replaced Danny Koevermans for the second half, converted a Farfán pass in the 47th minute to put PSV in the lead.

Vitesse pushed for an equalizer throughout the second half but a double yellow card for Sansoni broke the team’s resistance.

Ajax beat Heracles 5-1 but finish at three points from champions PSV Eindhoven.
