Vitesse Arnhem will play in the Europa League next season after defeating RKC Waalwijk in the Eredivisie playoffs on Sunday.
Wilfried Bony quickly added to his first-leg double with the opener on three minutes and Vitesse went on to win the second leg 2-1 for an aggregate result of 5-2.
Ivorian Bony had given the victors a crucial advantage in the first leg away from home with two goals in the final 20 minutes to break open a 1-1 deadlock.
He latched onto Alexander Buttner’s pass to fire Vitesse ahead in the second leg at GelreDome.
Renato Ibarra scored the home side’s second after Geoffrey Castillion had equalised in the 75th minute for RKC.
