A late goal from Timothy Derijck helped ADO Den Haag beat Ajax 3-2 in the Eredivisie, while PSV Eindhoven and Twente both won.
Hosts ADO led through Frantisek Kubik’s strike with half an hour gone at the Kyocera Stadion.
Jan Vertonghen levelled for Ajax in the 70th minute, but ADO were back in front just six minutes later when Lex Immers netted.
Ajax equalised again through Denmark international Christian Eriksen and looked to have salvaged a draw before defender Derijck took advantage of a goalmouth scramble to grab the winner with three minutes left.
ADO are up to fifth in the table, while Ajax are now six points behind leaders PSV, who won 1-0 at home to FC Utrecht.
Winger Otman Bakkal scored the winner for PSV in the 54th minute at the Philips Stadion.
Twente remain just one point behind PSV following a 2-0 win away to Excelsior.
Midfielder Theo Janssen put visitors Twente ahead with nine minutes remaining in the first half at the Stadion Woudestein.
Excelsior went down to 10 men when centre-back Kaj Ramsteijn received a red card for a foul inside the area on 67 minutes.
And Janssen dispatched the resulting penalty to claim a brace and make it 2-0 to Twente.
Elsewhere, Roda JC beat Feyenoord 3-0 at the Parkstad Limburg Stadion.
It took hosts Roda just seven minutes to open the scoring with a strike from Anouar Hadouir.
They nearly missed a chance to extend the lead when Mads Junker initially failed to convert a 42nd-minute penalty.
But the Danish striker tucked away the rebound to make it 2-0.
Feyernoord proved unable to find a way back into the match and their demise was complete in the 90th minute when Diego Biseswar notched an own goal to hand Roda a 3-0 win.
