Barcelona defender Eric Abidal is confident he will reach an agreement with the Catalan club over a new contract.
The France international has one year left on his contract at Camp Nou, which led to speculations linking him with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Nevertheless, the player is adamant he wants to end his career at Barcelona.
“I want to take my time to think,” Abidal said at a press conference earlier today.
“I’m sure we will reach an agreement with the club. My wish is to finish my career at Barca.”
The veteran defender, nonetheless, acknowledges interest from Paris Saint-Germain.
“This is a spectacular club that play at a high level. Important players arrived and it is possible they want me, but I have received no offers.
”I have a contract with Barcelona, even if other clubs are interested.”
