The Three Lions pulled a coup in Spain on Monday night after emerging victorious 3-2 from their Nations League trip to Benito Villamarin stadium.
First-half goals from Raheem Sterling – who bagged a brace – and Marcus Rashford were enough for Gareth Southgate’s men to break La Roja but is was Eric Dier who outshone the proceedings with his tackle on Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos.
In a moment that seemingly sparked England forward, Eric Dier of Tottenham launched a hard tackle on Ramos after only 11 minutes of play and the video of him racing on and clattering Spaniard became a viral sensation.
The Tottenham midfielder steamed towards Ramos and lifted him in the air while also getting the ball.
Have a look if you missed it.
Eric Dier vs Sergio Ramos with one of the most fabulously pointless clatterings ever seen. Magnificent. pic.twitter.com/hYfGBTmgdX
