Eric Garcia agrees personal terms with Barcelona

Manchester City defender Eric Garcia has agreed personal terms with Barcelona, according to The Guardian. It has been reported that the 19-year-old central defender has agreed a five-year contract with Spanish and European giants Barcelona.

Garcia is out of contract at City at the end of the season and plans to leave the former Premier League champions. Barcelona wanted to sign the teenager in the summer of 2020, but City demanded £20 million in transfer fee plus £10 million in add-ons.

The Spain international was on the books of Barcelona from 2008 until 2017 before he moved to City. Garcia has made a handful of appearances for the Citizens’ first team and is not guaranteed a place in the first team. According to WhoScored, the teenager has made two starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League and has played thrice in the Champions League for Pep Guardiola’s side so far this season.
