Erik ten Hag wants to bring Ajax defender Jurrien Timber to Manchester United if he becomes the new manager of the Premier League club, according to Fichajes. The Ajax manager has had held talks with United, and it is looking likely now that he will take charge of the Red Devils for next season and beyond.
Timber has come through the Ajax youth team and has been doing well for the senior side. The 20-year-old had made 24 starts and one substitute appearance in the Eredivisie so far this season, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.
Ajax are at the top of the Eredivisie table at the moment with 69 points from 28 matches, four points above second-placed PSV. Meanwhile, Manchester United currently find themselves seventh in the Premier League table with 51 points from 30 matches.
