According to Danish outlet Ekstra Bladet, Christian Eriksen has decided to join Inter Milan when his contract with Tottenham Hotspur expires in the summer. The report actually confirms what various outlets in Italy have been saying recently.
Eriksen spoke about trying new challenges after his team lost the Champions League final to Liverpool back in June last year. Since then, he’s mostly been linked with Real Madrid and Manchester United, though Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain have been mentioned as well. Spurs have tried to get him back to the negotiating table to discuss a new deal, but they had no luck.
Lately, Juventus were also reported to be keen on his signature, but it seems their main Serie A rivals this season have won the race. The Nerazzurri are apparently willing to pay the Denmark international €20 million per year, and the final details of the agreement are expected to be ironed out by the end of the month.
