Eriksen on his Tottenham future

“I wish I could decide just like in Football Manager, but unfortunately I can’t”.

Those are the words of Tottenham star Christian Eriksen after the summer transfer window officially closed across the rest of Europe. The closure of the window pretty much confirmed that the Dane will be remaining a Spurs player for at least a few more months, with the January transfer window marking the next available opportunity in which he could realistically jump ship.

Real Madrid has been the eventual target for quite some time now in the eyes of a lot of fans, but neither party seemed to be all too eager when it actually came to edging this one over the finish line.

Perhaps that’ll eventually come with time but either way, it seems like there are still a lot of different directions this could go in – which isn’t always the best possibility in the world.
