Christian Eriksen could be on his way back to Tottenham Hotspur from Inter Milan, as reported by Sky Sports.
The Denmark international spent six and a half years with the north-London club before his move to Inter in January last year for a fee reported to have been set at €27 million, scoring 69 and assisting 89 goals in 305 appearances in all competitions in that time.
Having failed to win a single trophy, he left the club following the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and the arrival of Jose Mourinho at the helm, but he failed to make any kind of impact for the Nerazzurri under the command of Antonio Conte. Both Conte and club CEO Giuseppe Moratta have hinted on several occasions that Eriksen could leave in January.
Spurs are interested in bringing their former attacking midfielder back on loan for the rest of the season and Eriksen wants to go. Inter are open to the deal as they believe a spell away could help bump up his value for a potential summer sale. However, the Serie A side have apparently already put several suitors off by demanding a large loan fee.
