According to a recent report from Sky Italy, Inter Milan chief executive Giuseppe Marotta and Christian Eriksen’s agent Martin Schoots had dinner in Milan recently as negotiations over a potential transfer continue.
The belief is that Inter have put forward an offer of around £10 million plus bonuses during their talks with Tottenham, but Spurs are standing firm on their current valuation which is set at around £17 million.
It’s believed to be just a matter of time before the two clubs are able to come to some sort of final arrangement, as Eriksen’s long awaited departure from North London gets closer and closer.
On the flip side, though, many Spurs fans are hoping and praying that they’re able to bring in a few more bodies before the January window comes to an end. If they can’t, then their ability to challenge for the top four will once again be called into question.
