Espanyol welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Estadi Cornellà-El Prat tonight in the Spanish La Liga, and are favourites to pick up all three points to continue a recent upturn in form. The hosts need a win to put some daylight between them and the drop, while Rayo are also fighting for survival.

Currently 15th in La Liga with 28 points from 27 games, Espanyol are struggling this season. They have been enjoying improved form, however, winning two of their last three games, so they come into tonight’s meeting with Rayo with some confidence.

As for the visitors, Vallecano are locked on points with Granada in the relegation zone, but they are currently out of the bottom three as things stand. Their recent form has been a real worry, winning just two of their last 16 league games, and their even worse away form is likely to see them coming unstuck.
