(GSM) – Argentinian leaders Estudiantes may have their top position come under threat in the coming weeks following a 1-1 draw at Colon in Saturday’s Primera Division action.

Estudiantes got off to a disastrous start at Santa Fe’s Estanislao Lopez stadium, where Esteban Fuertes put the home side in the lead after just three minutes.

But the visitors, with only Argentinians in their line-up, got an equaliser in the 26th as Gaston Fernandez scored from the penalty spot.

Velez Sarsfield and Arsenal, who were five points behind ahead of this week’s fixtures, now only have a three-point gap to bridge.

Arsenal came back from behind to beat Gimnasia La Plata 2-3 while Velez earned a 0-2 win at Quilmes on Friday.
