Samuel Eto’o looks set to leave Chelsea in the summer after holding transfer talks with Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas, the Metro understands.
The veteran Cameroon striker moved to Stamford Bridge on a one-year deal last summer and has scored eight goals in nineteen Premier League appearances for Jose Mourinho’s men.
Despite criticising his front line, the Blues boss has hinted that he could offer the 33 year old a new contract though Besiktas are also keen to secure his services.
After booking their place in the last four of this season’s Champions League with victory over Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday evening, Chelsea today discovered that they will face Atletico Madrid, with the first leg of their semi-final at the Vicente Calderon on April 22nd.
The 2012 European Champions can be backed at a price of 1/1 to qualify for the final, which takes place at Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz on May 24th.
