A total financial turnover of 1.3 billion euros was generated during the June 7-29 tournament which was co-hosted by Austria and Switzerland.
Euro 2008 president Martin Kallen said: “We wanted to organise the best Euro ever: the objective was achieved.”
He said that profits would be totally reinvested in competitions for junior players and women as well as training programmes for coaches and referees.
