As the football season in Europe is being wrapped up, the attention turns to the upcoming Euro 2016 finals, held in France from 10th June to 10th July.
There are quite a few top sides heading to the tournament finals with championship ambitions, and it is hardly surprising that hosts France and World Cup holders Germany have been made joint favourites at bet365.
Even if the likes of Karim Benzema and Mathieu Valbuena miss out, Les Bleus boast a formidable squad that appears capable of challenging for the major trophy, with Paul Pogba, Antoine Griezmann and Dimitri Payet some of the star players expected to shine.
Meanwhile, Germany have faced some selection problems in the aftermath of the impressive 2014 World Cup triumph, but Die Mannschaft have got more than enough quality and experience to reach the final stages of the competition.
Reigning European Champions Spain are priced at 11/2 (6.5) and even though Diego Costa and Juan Mata have been left out, La Furia Roja arrive in France determined to fight for the trophy.
Revived England, star-studded Belgium and usual suspects Italy are some of the other sides tipped to mount a serious title challenge, whereas Portugal, priced at 22/1 (23.0) could be one of the dark horses.

The race for the Euro 2016 top goalscorer should be equally as interesting as the title chase, with some of world’s best footballers hoping to win the Golden Boot. Germany’s Thomas Muller, who has yet to register his first European Championship goal, leads the betting at 8/1 (9.0), followed by the Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who hopes to finally lead the Selecao to a major trophy.
Hosts France have no fewer than three players on the top 10 list, with the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Olivier Giroud and Anthony Martial all tipped to shine.
Poland hotshot Robert Lewandowski and Premier League top scorer Harry Kane are also given good chances to top the goalscoring charts, while Spain’s Alvaro Morata looks a good bet at 20/1 (21.0) now that Diego Costa has been left out.
After scoring 38 goals in 31 league games this season, Sweden superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic is available at 33/1 (34.0), while Leicester City star Jamie Vardy is priced at 50/1 (51.0).
