Now just two games away from getting their hands on a first piece of international silverware since their World Cup success way back in 1966, England will head to Dortmund on Wednesday night.

Just about edging past Switzerland last weekend, the Three Lions will have the expectations of a nation on their shoulders when they meet the Netherlands for their semi-final showdown.

Although England might still have their sights set on making real history this summer, Gareth Southgate’s camp will meet a Holland squad that mounted their own dramatic comeback against Turkey a few days ago.

Ahead of what looks set to be another nail-biting EURO 24 battle, we have taken a look at some of the most appealing Netherlands vs England bet builder tips.

England to ride their luck one more time

While England might have opened up this summer’s European Championships pencilled in as one of the standout title contenders, it is fair to sat that the Three Lions have largely struggled to find much fluidity this summer.

Remarkably winning just one of their five EURO 24 appearances over in Germany this summer within 90 minutes, Southgate’s men will be more than aware that they have a huge amount of pressure on their shoulders in Dortmund.

Finding a way to edge past both Switzerland and Slovakia over the past week and certainly riding their luck on plenty of occasions, England will be desperate to overcome one more hurdle on Wednesday night.

Often reliant on individual pieces of brilliance this summer, the European finalists three years ago have been handed a favourable draw this summer and this is seen as a golden opportunity to end their 58 years of pain.

While Southgate’s golden generation might still be waiting to click into top gear, England should be starting to believe that they can drag themselves to the history books over the next week.

Gakpo to spearhead Holland’s charge

Although Holland might have signed off their Group D campaign with an action-packed 3-2 loss at the hands of Austria, Koeman’s side have continued to shine this summer.

Getting their knockout stage adventure underway with a 3-0 romp against Romania on July 2nd, the former Barcelona boss will certainly be calling on the red-hot Cody Gakpo to spearhead their charge in Dortmund.

While the Liverpool superstar might have eventually seen his second-half strike against Turkey last weekend taken away from him, the ex-PSV starlet has enjoyed a remarkable summer over in Germany.

Notching three goals in his five EURO 24 appearances so far this tournament, Gakpo is also leading the chase to what would be a famous European Golden Boot.

Expected to play a leading role as the 25-year-old earns a 30th international cap on Wednesday night, Gakpo will be confident of testing an England defence that have recorded just a trio of clean sheets from their previous 10 appearances across all competitions.

The Dutch hold a dominant record

While the Three Lions might open Wednesday’s semi-final showdown in rural Germany pencilled in as a standout contender with the bookmakers, it is Koeman’s camp who hold what is a dominant record.

Storming their way to a 3-1 victory when they last met England during the inaugural UEFA Nations League tournament back in June 2019, Holland will be desperate to produce a repeat performance here.

In fact, along with a 2-1 win when they travelled to Wembley for a friendly showdown eight years ago, the Dutch have lost just one of their last nine straight meetings against England across all competitions – a run that stems all the way back to 1996.

However, in what looks set to be a heavyweight battle at Signal Iduna Park in midweek, Wednesday’s opponents do have a habit of producing an abundance of chances at both ends of the pitch.

It should be highlighted, five of the previous six showdowns between the Netherlands and England have finished with both teams finding the net.
