Portuguese newspaper O Jogo understands that a host of Europe’s top clubs are showing interest in Sporting Lisbon full-back Marcos Rojo.
The 23-year-old has seen his stock rise a great deal since arriving at Estadio Jose Alvalade from Spartak Moscow, and he is widely tipped to join a top club in the summer.
According to O Jogo, the likes of Southampton, Roma, AC Milan and Napoli are all keen, although they will have to pay top dollar in order to land the talented defender.
While Sporting Lisbon only own 25% of the player’s contract, the remaining part is owned by investment company Doyen Sports and they are holding out for €10 million.
And with Rojo a first team regular for Argentina, they will wait until after the 2014 World Cup before cashing in on their prized asset.
Marcos Rojo has made a total of 41 league appearances for Sporting and went on to score 3 goals.
