European giants battling for Siqueira
A number of major European clubs are showing interest in Granada full-back Guilherme Siqueira, according to AS.
The 25-year-old has been earning rave reviews for his performances in La Liga this season and he could be a subject of a real bidding war in the summer.
According to AS, Manchester United, Barcelona, Valencia, Atletico Madrid and Benfica are all interested in Siquiera.
The talented full-back has a contract until June 2015 with Granada and a release clause of €15 million, but it looks as though the La Liga minnows will not be able to keep hold of their prized asset.
Barcelona boss Pep Guardiola has already confirmed his interest in the Brazilian, whereas AS claims that Sir Alex Ferguson’s brother Martin watched the player as Granada played host to Sevilla last Monday.
The highly rated left-back has been in brilliant form this season and even managed to score 6 goals in 28 La Liga games.
Kalou wants Chelsea stay
Ivorian forward Salomon Kalou admits that he has changed his mind regarding his stay at Stamford Bridge.
The 26-year-old found himself surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge when Andre Villas-Boas took over the reigns and the player was widely expected to leave the club at the end of the season.
However, after he was given a new lifeline by Roberto Di Matteo, the Ivorian reveals that he could decide to extend his contract with the Blues.
“He (Di Matteo) has opened up the group again,” Kalou was quoted as saying in L’Equipe.
“I will be a free agent in June and I thought I would never play for Chelsea again.
”I thought the former coach would force me the same way as Alex and Anelka, two players who brought a lot to the club but had to leave. Now, I hope to prolong my contract.”
The Ivorian returned into the starting line-up after Roberto Di Matteo was appointed caretaker manager and he has scored two goals since.
Mario Gomez signs new Bayern deal

The 26-year-old has become a key figure for the Bavarians shortly after arriving from Stuttgart in August 2009 and he has now pledged his future to Bayern.
Gomez, who was paid no less than €30 million some three years ago, has signed a new contract until 30th June 2016.
“I’ve always said that Bayern Munich are a great club where I feel comfortable, where I see the best sporting opportunities,” Gomez told club’s official website.
“I am sure that we will progress a lot in the years to come. I want to do my share.”
