The 19-year-old Italian sensation Nicolo Zaniolo continues to turn heads with his impressive displays at Roma.
In a report published by Gazzetta dello Sport, Premier League heavyweights Chelsea have joined the likes of Bayern Munich in the pursuit of the Roma youngster who made his breakthrough into the senior squad at Olimpico last November but hasn’t looked back ever since.
Zaniolo is fast emerging as one of the most exciting Italian assets with his silky smooth skills, creativity and vision. His flexibility makes him a versatile footballer who can be deployed at the centre of the park as well as in a more advanced position – both centrally and on the wings.
The youngster is widely seen as a successor to Roma icon Francesco Totti and Giallorossi are currently preparing a contract renewal in a bit to keep Zaniolo in Rome beyond 2023.
Chelsea and Bayern Munich will find it extremely difficult to get Zaniolo this summer as Roma are unlikely to allow him to leave. With the likes of Juventus and Real Madrid also believed to be keeping tabs on the player, however, Roma could face a struggle to keep him around.
