French media outlet L’Equipe understands that a number of top European clubs are keeping close tabs on Senegalese midfielder Pape Gassama.
The 19-year-old is currently on loan at Creteil from Galaxy Foot, and he has only made a total of six Ligue 2 appearances this term as his international transfer certificate took quite a while to arrive.
But, despite not being able to prove his worth in France’s top flight, Gassama remains on the radar of high-profile sides, with Benfica recently expressing interest in his services.
L’Equipe claims that the likes of Chelsea and Napoli are also closely monitoring the situation, and they could make their moves in the summer transfer window.
With Creteil’s financial situation preventing the club from exercising a purchase option, everything suggests that Gassama will be available for sale at the end of the current campaign, with a big club move apparently on the cards for the talented midfielder.
