Atletico Madrid defender Theo Hernandez could be the subject of several lucrative offers in the summer transfer window, according to AS.
Real Madrid recently emerged as favourites for the youngster’s signature, offering the player a five-year deal worth €35 million in total, but they now face a real fight for the 19-year-old full-back.
Namely, Barcelona are prepared to match said offer as they see Hernandez as a good long-term replacement for Jordi Alba, who has struggled for playing time of late.
Meanwhile, Liverpool have offered Theo a contract worth €5 million per campaign, and it is important to note that none of these clubs would have problems matching the player’s €24 million release clause.
This is why Atletico Madrid officials are prepared to quadruple the player’s current salary and pay him €4 million per campaign to sign a new deal, in which case said clause would be seriously increased.
